Cliché: knockout blow

Meaning: explosive hitting. Use examples.
Rewrite 1: hammer blow
Rewrite 2:
bunker-buster punch
Rewrite 3:
slug slam-fest
Rewrite 4:
whack attack

Comment: What made this somewhat easier to pull off was to put the emphasis first on “blow” and then pick appropriate adjectives.
